  1. hello, i'm thinking in the 'visit baldock' bit it might be nice to tell folk also about the green spaces around here for their visits, ie, the 'greenways' cycle path, footpaths, circular walks (all avail as downloadable .pdf's on t'interweb) plus rspb sites like the fabulous one up towards sandy, also what about farrowby farm at hinxworth, baldock? its superb for a trip there, plus has cafe and kids play area, a half hour walk around the entire farm thats green, safe, pushchair friendly etc and great to see the chooks and piglets etc. standalone farm, letchworth. but the biggy, being the white hart stags of hertfordshire that are famous and protected and very very rare indeed. not to mention the endless packs of huge deer up the fields and woods between baldock and buntingford. Plus the other little things we have here in north herts being Muntjack deer (dwarf almost dog like in appearance) plus the black squirrel in abundance throughout baldock and letchworth. I wonder also if people know of the huge array of woodcocks we get here in baldock up towards quickswood, plus the rare white-partridge and jet black pheasant. hope helps, it's just the wildlife is spectacular here. Oh and the buzzards, kestrels and even hen-harriers, I don't know about anyone else in baldock but we frequently get the majestic sparrow hawk in our garden too.
